What Is the Dime Dime Baby Trend? The BbY WOW Guy and the Concha, Explained

The Dime Dime Baby meme explained: the quinceañera clip, the concha bite and the stare, the BbY WOW song, the October 2026 timeline and how to make yours.

What Is the Dime Dime Baby Trend? The BbY WOW Guy and the Concha, Explained

If your feed has a guy at a party walking up to the camera, biting a piece of sweet bread and staring into the lens while he chews, you've seen the Dime Dime Baby trend. Here's where the clip came from, what he's eating, why the stare works, and how to make your own version.

The clip in 9 seconds

The whole meme is one short, handheld phone video from a quinceañera in Mexico. In about nine seconds:

  1. A young man dances toward the camera from the back of the hall.
  2. He raises a concha and takes a big bite.
  3. He stares straight into the lens, cheeks full, chewing, with no expression at all.
  4. He turns and dances back into the crowd, one hand up at the end.

That's it. No words, no punchline. The joke is the stare.

Who is the BbY WOW guy?

The man in the clip is Eve Ramírez (TikTok @eve.el.cholo). He posted the video himself on 24 July 2025 under the title "El video original". His post has 7.6 million views.

He's a real person who was enjoying a party. The trend is a celebration of one great moment of timing, not a joke at his expense, and it's worth keeping it that way when you post.

What is a concha?

A concha is a round Mexican sweet bread with a crackly sugar topping, scored so it looks like a seashell ("concha" means shell in Spanish). It's a staple at breakfast and at parties. In the clip it's the prop that makes the moment: a full-size bite of bread, in the middle of a dance, at a formal party.

Why the stare works

Most party clips cut away before anything awkward happens. This one doesn't. He walks right up to the camera, bites, and then holds eye contact for a couple of seconds while chewing with his cheeks full. He doesn't smile and doesn't explain. Then he dances off as if nothing happened.

That pause is what people copy. It reads as confidence, as "don't touch my concha", or as someone caught eating at the wrong moment, depending on the caption. That's why the same nine seconds work for a friend, a dad, a coworker or a dog.

Where the name comes from: the song

The clip went viral a second time in October 2026, when TikTok paired it with "BbY WOW" by KAROL G, Judeline and rusowsky. The song's hook is "dime dime baby". "Dime" is Spanish for "tell me", so the line means "tell me, tell me, baby".

The hook gave the meme its name. You'll also see it called the "BbY WOW guy" or "bby wow guy". More on the track, and how to use its sound, in what song Dime Dime Baby is.

Our own examples

Once the green screen and the CapCut templates were out, people started putting themselves, their friends and their pets in his place.

We made our own versions the same way you would: one AI-generated photo each, no editing. Watch them next to the photo they came from on our homepage, the dog and cat page and the examples page.

How people make their own version

There are three common ways:

  • Green screen. Film yourself, then key yourself into the cut-out version of the clip. You need to act out the bite and the stare yourself.
  • CapCut template. Pick a template, add your clip or photo and let the app put it in the hall. Our CapCut template guide covers how that works and where it falls short.
  • One photo, no editing. Upload a photo and get the whole clip back with you in it.

The last one is what we make. On our homepage, one photo of you becomes a 9-second vertical video: you dance in, bite the concha, stare into the camera chewing and dance back into the party. The motion comes from a depth map of the original clip, so the beats land where they should. Your face, hair and outfit come from your photo. The concha stays.

The video comes with the trend sound and no watermark, and you can download it silent if you'd rather add the sound in TikTok. One video is $4.99 with no account. The full walkthrough is in how to make the Dime Dime Baby AI video.

The dog version

Remakes with dogs followed too. On the dog and cat version, your pet stands on its hind legs in his place, holds the concha in its front paws, bites and stares. The pet guide has photo tips and caption ideas.
